Cloetta, a long-standing Finnish confectionery maker best known for its Aakkoset letter sweets, introduced an emoji-themed Aakkoset and aimed to raise broad awareness while testing Facebook’s ability to reach its target audiences.
Over three weeks Cloetta ran feed-friendly video and photo ads on Facebook using reach-and-frequency buying, with witty scenarios about parents misusing emojis and a consistent creative look. The campaign delivered strong results: a 25‑point overall lift in ad recall (31 points among 18–24s), a 15‑point lift in brand awareness and a 4‑point lift in preference among males.
