citiesocial is an upscale online retailer targeting design-conscious shoppers with hard-to-find, premium products. After seeing a surge in mobile traffic but weaker mobile sales versus desktop, the brand set out to increase mobile conversions and reduce the cost per sale by at least 20%.

To do this, citiesocial used Facebook Canvas to build immersive, mobile-first ads featuring video, photos and interactive gestures, and targeted gadget-interested users. A/B tests versus standard link ads showed the Canvas campaign delivered 48% higher click-through rate, 50% lower cost per click and 33% lower cost per acquisition, driving stronger engagement and more mobile purchases.
