Cammy, an app-based home security company using Wi‑Fi cameras and smart person detection, wanted to reach more customers and increase sales without creating new ads. Having launched in Australia in 2014 and grown to 107 countries with 30,000 active accounts, the challenge was to repurpose an existing TV commercial for mobile and improve targeting to generate more qualified leads and hit quarterly sales goals.
Cammy optimized the TV spot for Facebook’s mobile News Feed (shorter edit, text overlays, early branding), used demographic and interest targeting plus retargeting and Lookalike Audiences, ran video link ads to the website, and followed with a carousel ad for engaged viewers while tracking conversions with the Facebook pixel. The campaign delivered a 2.6× return on ad spend, a 74% increase in sales in two months, and a 56% decrease in cost per sale.
