Brownie do Rapha is a Brazilian brownie business founded in 2011 by Raphael Mendes that grew from a home kitchen into a company with a store, factory, ecommerce and 35 employees. For the Christmas season the company aimed to increase December sales across its retail store and double online sales.

They replaced photo ads with one-minute time‑lapse videos showing product preparation and “overflowing” chocolate, ran those ads on Facebook and Instagram News Feed (allocating ~90% of the ad budget to video), and targeted audiences by region and age while directing people to the brand’s Facebook Page to build engagement. The campaign produced an 8X increase in sales versus the previous year, 25% more retail visits and a 10X return on ad spend, with many customers reporting they discovered the brand via Facebook.
