A Facebook Case Study
Pernod Ricard’s Absolut Vodka Spain aimed to strengthen its long‑running partnership with Sonar Barcelona and boost awareness and favourability among young adults, at a time when TV advertising for spirits is banned in Spain. The challenge was to reach and engage a mobile‑first, festival‑going audience on Facebook and Instagram.
The brand ran mobile‑optimised, square-format video ads (plus link, photo, carousel and Stories adverts), following Facebook creative guidance and using auction and reach/frequency buying with Custom Audiences retargeting. The campaign drove a 17‑point lift in ad recall, a 4‑point lift in association with Sonar (9 points among 18–24s) and a 5‑point increase in favourability.
