A Facebook Case Study
Audi Hong Kong aimed to build pre-event buzz for the RS7 racing showcase in Germany and highlight the car’s driverless technology to a local audience. The challenge was to distribute three online-only videos in Hong Kong, reach the right people quickly, and drive awareness ahead of the live-streamed event.
Audi used Facebook video ads—launching two teaser videos (30s and 15s) followed by a longer demo—and targeted men 25+ with car interests and friends of Audi fans. By retargeting viewers with Custom Audiences, the two-week campaign (Oct 9–23, 2014) delivered 153,000 video plays, a 23-second average view length for a 30-second video, and reached 72% of its target audience within three days.
