Attracting more diners with Facebook’s store visits ad objective

KFC, the global chicken restaurant chain with more than 20,500 outlets in over 125 countries, aimed to boost in-store sales by driving more diners into its brick-and-mortar locations.

KFC used Facebook's store visits ad objective to target mobile users near its restaurants with appetizing carousel photo and video ads (created by Wieden+Kennedy) featuring a "Get Directions" CTA, optimized with media agency Spark and measured via Facebook's Store Visits reporting. The campaign reached 27 million people and produced 2.4 million store visits at an average cost of US$0.49 per visit, increasing foot traffic and proving clear ROI.
