7‑Eleven Australia, a national convenience retailer with 620 stores, wanted to raise awareness of its 7‑Eleven Fuel app and drive installs so customers could lock in local fuel prices and check prices on the go. The challenge was to translate mass‑market advertising into measurable app downloads and usage.
They ran a combined Facebook and Instagram campaign using mobile‑optimized video and carousel creative, custom and lookalike audiences, targeted segments and synchronized ad spend with TV spots, tracking outcomes with Kochava. The campaign hit its three‑month targets in two months, generating 230,000 app downloads—a 77% lift—and 2 million litres of fuel purchased through the app.
