Case Study: INSERM accelerates COVID-19 research with Expert.ai's Clinical Research Navigator

The French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) Selects Expert System’s Artificial Intelligence to Support COVID-19 Research

INSERM, the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, needed to accelerate and centralize COVID-19 research by aggregating vast, rapidly changing clinical data and supporting faster decision-making across its large research community (about 10,000 researchers and 12,000+ publications yearly). To address this, INSERM selected Expert.ai’s Clinical Research Navigator (CRN) and made it available to 100 researchers for a six-month evaluation.

Expert.ai implemented CRN to provide semantic, concept-based access to more than 100 million documents and reference records on 12 million clinical studies, including trials, patents, expert and organizational reports, and web/social content. By normalizing and linking content across sources and offering real-time updates and drill-down filters, Expert.ai’s CRN centralized discovery, saved researchers time, improved efficiency, and enabled quick identification of key trials, sponsors, lead investigators and collaboration networks during the evaluation period.
