Using 360 feedback to drive development

Brighton & Hove City Council worked with Expert Training Systems (ETS) to support a period of sustained organisational change and help strengthen its performance culture. The council wanted a 360 degree feedback programme for its top 100 managers that would focus not only on what people do, but how they do it, aligned to a new behavioural framework.

ETS configured a user-friendly 360 feedback platform, designed the questionnaire, and provided guidance, training, and communications support to build trust and reassure managers about confidentiality. The programme was rolled out to over 100 senior managers, gave the council a systematic view of behaviours across its senior leader population, and provided an evidence base for leadership development, with participants valuing the quick process and personalised reports.
