ITV, the UK’s largest television network, needed a new way to make employee engagement meaningful and useful to the business. Its existing survey was seen as a tick-box exercise with little manager buy-in or follow-through, so ITV brought in Expert Training Systems (ETS) to help create a more bespoke engagement survey programme aligned to its strategy.

Expert Training Systems (ETS) worked with ITV to launch a branded online engagement survey tool, supported by paper surveys, pulse checks, reporting dashboards, and communication campaigns to drive participation and action planning. The programme helped raise engagement by around one third to 91%, improved manager and executive involvement, and contributed to stronger business performance, including a 6% rise in profits to £348 million in 2012.
