Case Study: BACB promotes diversity and inclusion with Expert Training Systems

Targeted workshops to promote cultural change

Expert Training Systems (ETS) worked with BACB, the British Arab Commercial Bank, to support a long-term cultural change agenda focused on diversity, equality and inclusion. BACB wanted to strengthen its already positive reputation for fairness and inclusivity across a highly diverse workforce in London, North Africa and the Middle East, and to embed these values more deeply in everyday behaviours.

Expert Training Systems designed and delivered three bespoke workshops for BACB: interview skills, appraisal skills and equal opportunities. These short, interactive sessions targeted different stages of the employee life cycle and aimed to reduce unconscious bias in hiring and performance management. The impact was strongly positive: 92% of equal opportunities workshop attendees said they were more knowledgeable afterwards, and managers in the interview skills workshop reported being almost 10% more effective at interviewing candidates.
