The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles (NV DMV), which maintains the state’s primary residential address database, faced growing pains as Nevada’s population increased. Under pressure to process high volumes at 18 full-service and three express offices, technicians often created duplicate and inaccurate records in the PowerBuilder system, causing undelivered licenses/titles and unreliable data for other state agencies.
NV DMV deployed Experian’s QAS Pro address-validation front end across all branches, integrated via Experian’s API and supported by staff training. Real-time verification and easy record-merge tools cut duplicates and errors, improved mail deliverability and customer interactions, and restored confidence in the DMV database—saving time and reducing costs for the agency and downstream users.
