Experian was asked by a large automotive dealership to identify local cross‑marketing partners that would drive customer traffic. The challenge was to pinpoint which types of businesses and events would most resonate with the dealership’s existing customer base.
By comparing hundreds of ConsumerView attributes and ranking customer interests against the general population, Experian identified strong over‑indexes in hunting, wine, sports, fitness and education (for example, wine lovers and hunting enthusiasts were markedly higher among customers than the broader sample). The recommended outreach: partner with sporting events, 5Ks and local sports teams to maximize promotional impact.
