Interline Brands, a group of 13 MRO distribution brands serving facilities maintenance professionals, contractors and specialty distributors across North America, Central America and the Caribbean, needed a more automated, cost‑effective way to evaluate new accounts and monitor existing account performance. A single, traditional scoring model couldn’t accommodate the different risk drivers across its brands, so Interline sought a streamlined, real‑time decisioning solution analysts could use across the organization.

Experian’s Decision Sciences team analyzed brand portfolios, developed five custom decision trees to replace the one‑size‑fits‑all model, and deployed them via the BusinessIQ platform with the DecisionIQ automated decisioning module. The integrated, centralized credit‑management interface helped Interline identify risky accounts more accurately, driving improved profitability, revenue growth and operational efficiencies across its multiple brands.
