Brooklyn College, a large CUNY liberal arts institution, faced a costly enrollment challenge: high volumes of returned mail from prospecting and offer letters, which wasted staff time, undermined targeted marketing and threatened the college’s competitiveness for applicants.
The college deployed Experian Data Quality’s solutions (QAS Pro, QAS Batch and QAS Clean) across Admissions, HR, Alumni and Registrar to validate and clean addresses at point-of-entry and in batch. As a result, mailings now reach prospects on the first attempt, departmental resources and postage costs have been reduced, marketing accuracy has improved and campus-wide data quality and USPS compliance have been strengthened.
