A Experian Case Study
Banner Health, a large nonprofit health system with 400+ locations and 29 acute care hospitals, faced fragmented front-end technologies and largely manual registration processes that created redundancies, long wait times and a high volume of initial claim denials. To address patient access as a top priority, the system launched a phased “Revenue Cycle Modernization Project” to standardize and improve front‑end workflows across regions.
Banner selected Experian Health and rolled out eCare NEXT in stages to integrate with Cerner and automate patient access (up to 80% of preregistration). The implementation reduced eligibility-related denials by $30M in the first quarter, uncovered 30%+ unique/new coverage in workflow, increased pre-care patient estimates, and improved staff engagement by reducing systems, logins and manual tasks.
