Exotel Helped Squadrun Maintain User Privacy and Increase User Engagement

SquadRun is a mobile-first crowdsourcing platform that breaks business tasks into gamified “missions” completed by its community of players. When SquadRun launched SquadVoice — an outbound call‑based task flow — players were reluctant to use their personal numbers, and the company also needed reliable call tracking, recording, and real‑time monitoring. To address these issues SquadRun engaged Exotel and evaluated Exotel’s number‑masking, call‑recording and click‑to‑call capabilities.

Exotel implemented number masking, automatic call recording and click‑to‑call integration into SquadRun’s app, removing the need for manual screenshots or third‑party recorders and surfacing call data in the Exotel dashboard. The changes drove a 4× increase in adoption for SquadVoice, cut time‑to‑market by 20%, and eliminated several manual monitoring steps (saving about 2–4 steps), while improving quality checks and real‑time visibility — all delivered via Exotel’s platform.
