Exotel empowers jobseekers to find jobs via Babajob

Babajob is a platform that connects informal jobseekers to employers across online and offline channels, and its challenge was handling high-volume, last-mile voice interaction (missed calls, IVR and SMS) without running a 24x7 call center staffed by hundreds of agents. To solve this, Babajob partnered with Exotel and used Exotel’s cloud telephony suite—missed-call services, dynamic IVR/automated calls, number masking, SMS notifications and CRM integration—to capture, screen and route candidate interactions at scale.

Exotel implemented a dynamic missed-call → automated IVR callback flow (in ~8 languages), integrated SMS alerts and number masking, and handled spikes and continuous demand seamlessly. The result: Babajob now serves about 4.5 million users and connects tens of thousands of jobseekers daily without infrastructure failures (a peak of ~900 calls/min during a TV feature was absorbed), midnight calls go unanswered no more, and the need for a large 24x7 agent force has been effectively avoided thanks to Exotel.
