FKM Sintertechnik GmbH, a large German service provider for 3D-printed parts, needed a more flexible and cost-effective large-format polymer production system to meet the demands of its broad customer portfolio. The company sought a solution that could print large components or many smaller parts economically in a single job.

ExOne implemented its VX1000 HSS, the largest ink-based polymer 3D printer on the market. This provided FKM with a significantly larger build volume, high reproducibility, and a production speed of up to 7,300 cm³/h. As a result, FKM became the first production partner in the HSS Polymer Network, gaining advantages in production speed, quality, and unit cost over its previous systems.
