A EXL Case Study
EXL worked with a leading healthcare organization, a not-for-profit health system with multiple hospitals, medical groups, and a statewide health plan, to improve a burdensome government reporting process. The organization had to produce 100-plus regulatory reports on varying schedules, and frequent changes to Medicaid reporting rules, plus new reports added during COVID-19, made accurate and timely reporting increasingly difficult.
EXL implemented an automated, streamlined regulatory reporting framework with a consolidated data structure, data cubes, and standardized reporting and QA processes to support reporting from varied systems. As a result, the leading healthcare organization improved on-time and accurate report delivery, avoided potential state penalties, increased productivity by reducing the state reporting team to 4 FTEs, and created a scalable framework that can adapt to future reporting changes.
