A EXL Case Study
EXL worked with a large global wholesale food distribution company that was struggling to manage 60+ high-value transformation initiatives spread across finance, data services, automation, supply chain, HR, merchandising, and marketing. Without a centralized transformation office, the company lacked enterprise-wide alignment, standardized reporting, and effective resource and risk management, which slowed digital transformation efforts.
EXL created an independent, centralized transformation office to provide program management, strategic advisory, procurement operations support, and digital and analytics guidance across the portfolio. The office established stronger governance, common intake and prioritization, proactive risk management, and better milestone reporting, expanding visibility from about 7–10 projects to 60+ initiatives across 10+ business areas and helping drive multiple business case approvals for high-value projects.
