A EXL Case Study
Leading Coordinated Care Organization turned to EXL Health when a new state law created strict requirements for perfecting Medicare and Medicaid subrogation liens. Lacking the internal resources and process expertise to manage the detailed lien perfection workflow, the organization risked losing recovery opportunities and facing financial losses.
EXL Health researched the regulatory requirements, worked with the client and state stakeholders, and designed a new end-to-end lien perfection process with the right people, processes, and technology. EXL Health also provided two dedicated FTEs to manage the work and communicate directly with the state, helping the client recover $2,009,718 between 2018 and 2021 and achieve a 71.9% recovery rate on total lien amounts while saving time and internal resources.
