EXL worked with a leading UK online retailer to close a gap in its CRM marketing ecosystem: while email, SMS, and push were key channels, the retailer lacked feedback data for push notifications, limiting its ability to optimize spend and understand customer responses. The goal was to improve marketing effectiveness by capturing accurate push engagement data and making it available for analysis and decision-making.

EXL built an AWS-based data ingestion solution using Kinesis Data Stream, Kinesis Data Firehose, Lambda, S3, Redshift, and SNS to receive real-time vendor data, transform it by event type, and load it into reporting tables. The solution was delivered in about three months, now processes around 1.5 million records per day, and includes monitoring, alerting, testing, and dashboarding to support near real-time insights and future marketing use cases.
