EXL, in partnership with REVELOHEALTH, was selected to assist a large national vision care management services organization. The client was facing significant revenue cycle challenges, including major issues with denial management and payment posting that were impacting revenue during a critical system conversion. The organization was underperforming in revenue generation and collections due to a lack of data-led analysis, inefficient processes, and inadequate staffing.
EXL implemented a solution that redesigned process workflows and deployed a three-pronged approach. This included implementing iSTACK analytics tools, deploying RCM leadership for process redesign, and expanding the operational team. As a result, EXL helped the client achieve a stabilized revenue cycle with measurable improvements, including a 10.7% improvement in payment value, a 48.7% decrease in payment posting lag, and an increase in monthly average collections from $9.4M to $10.9M.
