Moores Furniture Group Expanded forecasting capabilities to stay competitive

Moores Furniture Group is a leading UK manufacturer of kitchen and bathroom furniture supplying social housing, builders’ merchants, DIY retailers and independent stores. Hit hard by the 2008 financial crisis and volatile house building demand, Moores needed better control of thousands of component parts to stay responsive and competitive, so they extended their existing relationship with Exceedra for a rapid, user‑friendly, future‑proof forecasting solution.

Exceedra built a part‑level forecasting and replenishment prototype that modeled strong seasonality, supplier lead times and minimum order quantities, then integrated the forecast into Moores’ MRP in 2012. The solution automated planned orders from forecast, real demand and safety stocks, aligning inventory values and dramatically improving part availability to over 99.5%, while simplifying replenishment for a complex supply chain.
