Bernard Matthews Farms is the UK’s largest turkey farmer and producer, owning a fully traceable “farm to fork” supply chain across 56 farms and supplying major retailers and foodservice. After a 2009 business review it found planning split across multiple legacy systems that served supply and finance but not sales, leaving promotions, account-level profitability and S&OP accountability fragmented; with supply fixed months in advance, the company needed better forecast accuracy and improved return on trade spend.
Bernard Matthews selected Exceedra and implemented Trade Promotion Management and S&OP in two phases, replacing legacy systems, deploying a live commercial P&L and automating retail POS data.
