Dell, a global tech leader with $59 billion in sales in 2015 and about 100,000 employees, wanted to turn its workforce’s industry knowledge into more authentic social conversations. Rather than pushing corporate messaging, the social team — led by Amy Heiss — needed a structured, centralized employee advocacy program (including a 4‑hour training) and a better tool than email and spreadsheets to let employees discover, curate, and share content they found personally valuable.
Since adopting EveryoneSocial in 2013 and rolling out steady onboarding and training, Dell has grown an active community of more than 10,000 users who have generated 150,000 shares, driven 45,000 clicks and reached roughly 1.2 million people. A Sales & Social pilot showed participants outperformed non‑users, monthly signups run ~100, and the program has increased employee engagement and connection to customers and Dell’s strategy.
