Vodafone New Zealand, a 1,400‑employee arm of the global telco, struggled with fragmented internal communications: “all staff” emails were often ignored or trashed, survey response rates were low, team meetings were cluttered with housekeeping, and a new global intranet risked making it harder for staff to find essential information — all undermining employee engagement and timely feedback.

Working with Everbridge, Vodafone rolled out Engage tools — animated screensavers, desktop alerts, staff surveys, quizzes and a user‑generated eNewsletter (“The Lot”) — to centralize messaging and boost participation. The results include 80% positive ratings for screensaver content (50% notice every release), 90% quiz participation (80% rate content positively), and 2,500 monthly readers of The Lot with half reading it regularly, leading to higher engagement and better internal alignment.
