Online Training for Medical Excellence

Banner Health, a nonprofit health system with 35,000 employees operating 23 hospitals and care centers in seven states, needed a consistent, adaptable way to ensure clinicians could accurately interpret ECG and fetal heart monitor tracings and to assess new hires for individualized training plans.

Since 2008 Banner has used eSkill’s customizable online tests to standardize assessments across sites, streamline scoring, and identify common mistakes to guide training. The program has evaluated about 4,000 staff across all Banner locations, with customized content refreshed every 2–3 months, improving validation of clinical skills and targeting of additional training.
