T-Mobile Czech Republic future-proofs its mobile backhaul network with increased capacity and IP capabilities

T-Mobile Czech Republic, one of the country’s largest mobile operators, needed to modernize its microwave backhaul network to support growing data traffic and the move from traditional TDM services to IP-based mobile broadband. Ericsson helped the customer address this challenge with a migration path from MINI-LINK E to MINI-LINK TN, enabling a network that could handle both legacy and next-generation traffic.

Ericsson implemented a cost-efficient upgrade to MINI-LINK TN, reusing much of the existing outdoor equipment to keep investment low and make migration smooth. The result was a future-proof backhaul network with increased capacity, support for both TDM and Ethernet transport, and a scalable platform for expanding mobile broadband services, while helping T-Mobile save costs now and in the future.
