The customer, Supercykelstier, needed deeper insights into the habits and motivations of bicycle commuters, including their need for traffic information. They engaged the vendor, Epinion, to conduct a qualitative mobile ethnographic study to explore these challenges.
Epinion implemented a 35-day digital forum study with 25 recruited cyclists, gathering rich data through smartphone assignments. Based on the findings, Epinion recommended four solutions, with the primary need being a single channel for all cyclist-specific information. The results proved that such well-suited digital tools are essential for supporting and maintaining bicycle commuting.
