How do we ensure a socially just green transition – in the eyes of Danish workers

FH, the Danish Trade Union Confederation (Fagbevægelsens Hovedorganisation), needed to understand the perspective of the national labor force on achieving a socially just green transition. They partnered with the vendor Epinion to conduct a qualitative analysis exploring what this transition means to workers and what they are willing to contribute.

Epinion performed a mobile ethnographic study and online focus groups with Danish workers to gain deep, contextual insights into their everyday lives. This analysis provided FH with a crucial understanding of the perceived risks and opportunities of the green transition and presented potential solutions for ensuring fairness. These qualitative insights were later quantified by FH into a published report that served as a foundation for policy making.
