BSA Limited (ASX: BSA), Australia’s leading domestic satellite and free‑to‑air installation company with 1,000 employees and 1,400 contractors across eight branches, needed better control of documentation and to automate its accounts payable invoice process as part of a wider enterprise content management strategy. After evaluating options, BSA implemented Alfresco Enterprise for ECM and selected Ephesoft for invoice capture and OCR to extract invoice data and feed the ECM system.

Zia Consulting deployed an integrated solution using Ephesoft to scan, OCR and tag invoices, export metadata to Alfresco via CMIS, and trigger approval workflows that integrate with Pronto ERP; Ephesoft also produces searchable PDFs for easy retrieval. The Ephesoft-enabled rollout to 100+ users now manages about 50,000 documents (≈55 GB), automated invoice approvals, reduced processing times, and improved employee productivity through faster access and flexible workflows.
