Dell partnered with ENGIE Insight to support a company-wide sustainability initiative aimed at reducing the carbon impact of its worldwide operations. To help the Dell HQ campus go green, Dell needed better visibility into utility usage, billing data, and energy consumption across sites so it could identify inefficiencies and evaluate cleaner power options.

ENGIE Insight reviewed and corrected utility bills, loaded the data into a web-based reporting tool, and helped Dell benchmark usage, target high-consumption sites, and assess alternative green power offerings. The result was a 10 percent reduction in energy costs in the first year, and Dell was able to source 100 percent of its HQ campus energy from certified green power, including landfill gas and wind-generated electricity.
