MobilePeople, a Copenhagen-based mobile solutions consultancy, needed to scale and diversify its voice and conferencing services to support about 240 customers and 350 services across Europe while handling heavy and variable call volumes and specialized use cases (for example, a service for blind passengers for Danish Rail). To meet these challenges, MobilePeople implemented Enghouse Interactive’s Communications Portal to power IVR, voice recognition, conferencing and other self‑service applications.
Enghouse Interactive supplied the Communications Portal and ongoing support (with hardware partner Dialogic for debugging), enabling MobilePeople to run one of the largest conferencing systems Enghouse has supported (480 concurrent channels), operate platforms that typically handle ~200,000 calls per day with peaks up to 1 million, and deliver targeted projects such as a 30‑channel Danish Rail pilot for blind users. The solution reduced development time and cost through reusable templates, improved reliability under heavy load, and gave MobilePeople measurable capacity and operational confidence to scale its services.
