A Employment Technologies Case Study
Crew Carwash, an Indianapolis-based full-service car wash with more than 30 locations and roughly 40,000 annual applicants, was losing too many applicants and hiring people who lacked basic customer-service skills. Their previous 40-question, non‑mobile behavioral assessment led to a high abandonment rate and didn’t evaluate on-the-job interaction, so Crew turned to Employment Technologies and its EASy Simulation™ Virtual Customer to modernize the candidate experience.
Employment Technologies implemented the mobile, interactive Virtual Customer simulation, which applicants—many aged 16–20—found engaging and game-like. As a result, Crew cut applicant dropouts from about 25% to under 5% (roughly an 80% reduction), received positive applicant feedback, and improved hire quality and service levels by selecting candidates who better demonstrate customer-service skills.
