Ferrara, the maker of SweeTARTS®, Laffy Taffy®, Trolli®, NERDS®, and other confection brands, faced the challenge of staying relevant and authentic amid fast-changing social platforms and formats. To move quickly and make strategic, real-time decisions, Ferrara partnered with Emplifi and relied on the Emplifi platform’s data and brand insights to guide agile social marketing.
Using Emplifi’s analytics, Ferrara deployed data-driven content and personalized activations (for example, custom digital candy wrappers for National Taffy Day), leaned on TikTok as a test-and-learn channel, and pursued authentic influencer partnerships. The results were significant: in H1 2020 vs the prior period Ferrara saw interactions +177%, engagement rate +1,069%, and content impressions +867%—gains enabled by Emplifi’s insights.
