Silvan, a DIY hardware chain with 258 stores and roughly 7,500 employees, was struggling with time-consuming onboarding, a high share of part-time staff with limited training availability, low learner motivation, and no centralized learning infrastructure. To solve this without burdening IT, Silvan adopted eloomi’s cloud-based learning platform (LMS) to deliver onboarding and L&D across the organization.
eloomi launched the LMS in eight weeks across DT Group, enabling role-based automatic course assignment, blended learning, mobile/multilingual access, centrally managed compliance, and progress tracking—without IT involvement. The result: Silvan cut onboarding time by about two-thirds (reducing it to roughly one-third), gave new hires access before day one, improved follow-up on learning progress, and scaled training across all stores.
