Melton City Council partnered with ELMO Software to improve learning and development management across its local government workforce. The People and Culture team was burdened by spreadsheets, outdated systems, manual registration forms, and difficult-to-manage training calendars, with around 2,000 registration forms needing manual processing at the start of each year. ELMO Learning, including Course Library and Course Builder, was introduced to replace these clunky processes.

With ELMO Software, Melton City Council was able to move its training calendar online, automate registrations and notifications, and create more flexible, bespoke learning content. The result was significant time and resource savings, improved calendar management, better staff training registration, and stronger internal learning engagement. Within two months of implementation, the team had eliminated manual document processing and gained more time to focus on enhancing training initiatives and organisational engagement.
