Radboudumc - Customer Case Study

Radboudumc, a university medical center in Nijmegen, needed to ensure uninterrupted access to clinical systems during its migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Relying on Microsoft SCOM alone gave only limited visibility into the workplace chain, so the hospital launched a proof of concept for continuous end-to-end workplace monitoring to protect patient care and employee productivity.

By integrating eG Enterprise with SCOM via the eG SCOM plug‑in, Radboudumc gained full, user-to-server visibility, rich dashboards and AD logon/lockout tracing that let the Service Desk pinpoint root causes quickly and often fix issues before users notice. The solution revealed actionable metrics (e.g., 6,048 total logons with 2,016 slow logons — 33%, average logon 25.39s), was moved on‑premises for control, and has been expanded to cover VMware Horizon, Azure, Office 365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint and other infrastructure—creating a scalable monitoring foundation for the future.
