The client is a long-established UK family business best known for its tea and coffee brands, branded cafés and a busy online mail-order service that drives heavy seasonal peaks and a call centre of 60–100 staff. They were struggling with performance problems in their Microsoft Dynamics AX / SQL Server ERP used for order processing and despatch—telephone-order delays, slow bulk-order loads and intermittent barcode-printing halts that risked missed courier pick-ups and poor customer experience. Previous fixes (increasing server resources and hardware) did not resolve the issues, so the business sought a more sophisticated APM approach.

The result was dramatically faster root-cause analysis and remediation, higher operational efficiency and cost savings, and a jump in AX uptime from roughly 90% to about 99.9% (with no downtime over a recent Easter peak), freeing the team to focus on other projects and improving customer experience.
