United Bank for Africa (UBA) needed a technology partner to support its post‑merger ambition to become a regional leader and to deliver scalable, integrated banking channels (core banking, e‑banking and CRM) across multiple countries. UBA selected EdgeVerve to provide a phased deployment of Finacle‑based core banking, treasury and e‑banking solutions, with Finacle CRM planned in subsequent phases, to achieve faster rollouts and greater agility.
EdgeVerve implemented a phased Finacle rollout—starting with core banking, treasury and e‑banking and later CRM—drawing on a proven delivery model (including a 65‑branch rollout in under six months versus typical 18–24 month cycles). The EdgeVerve solution created a scalable, multi‑country platform (extending to UBA’s US/UK presence), improved operational efficiency, enabled faster time‑to‑market for new products and delivered an integrated channel strategy to help UBA differentiate its services and accelerate growth.
