Nations Trust Bank, a leading Sri Lanka bank with 94 branches and extensive ATM networks, faced high turnaround times and security risks from many manual, repetitive tasks—user onboarding, modifications, transfers, card cancellations, enabling/disabling overseas transactions, exchange rate updates, and application permission management. To address these challenges the bank engaged EdgeVerve and its AssistEdge automation platform alongside its Finacle core banking environment.
EdgeVerve implemented AssistEdge RPA and AssistEdge Design Studio to configure microbots for Java and Windows application automations, automating UAM workflows (including password resets after first login), card and transaction enable/disable, and other manual processes. The EdgeVerve solution eliminated human access to bot-managed passwords, improved data consistency and security compliance, and delivered tangible efficiency gains, including a 43% reduction in average handling time.
