RailsCluster (Nedforce’s Ruby on Rails hosting service) needed to replace a single‑point‑of‑failure Apache reverse proxy with a resilient, fully redundant, high‑performance hosting platform. They selected Edgenexus and its ALB‑X (ALB‑X VA) to provide HA load balancing, application acceleration and advanced features like SSL offload and HTTP compression.

Edgenexus deployed a pair of ALB‑Xs in an active/active configuration, delivering 99.8% availability, low latency and seamless scalability. Features such as SSL offload, content caching and HTTP compression (about 40% of traffic compressed at an average 75% ratio) reduced server CPU load, cut latency and saved bandwidth, enabling RailsCluster to serve faster, more reliable Rails sites and grow without restriction. Edgenexus’s product performance and support were cited as major contributors to these results.
