Propelling sustainability and risk management across the supply chain with EcoVadis

Lenovo, a global technology company, sought to limit its exposure to supply chain sustainability risks and improve its risk management strategy to reduce reputational and supply disruption threats. Their goal was to help suppliers address operational risks to create more value, prompting them to engage with the vendor EcoVadis and its EcoVadis IQ solution.

EcoVadis implemented its EcoVadis IQ service to conduct a comprehensive sustainability risk screen of Lenovo's supply chain. The solution involved risk mapping over 2,000 suppliers across 71 countries and 129 industries to define an assessment strategy. This process identified 47 critical high-risk suppliers for assessment and improvement plans. As a result, Lenovo enhanced its sustainable procurement efforts and was recognized with the EcoVadis Outstanding Program Leadership Award in 2023.
