A eClinicalWorks Case Study
The Door is a Federally Qualified Health Center in NYC that provides primary care, mental health, legal, career and arts programming to underserved youth ages 12–24. Although using eClinicalWorks since 2013, staff identified a need to strengthen patient engagement for a tech‑savvy population that often accesses care independently.
In July 2017 The Door implemented healow Patient Relationship Management (PRM) Services—training staff and clients on Kiosk, the Patient Portal, the healow app, and Messenger campaigns, with bilingual marketing and onsite support. The rollout improved front‑desk and clinical workflows, boosted portal and app adoption (more appointment requests, lab access and secure messages), increased patient use of services, and helped support grant and PCMH objectives.
