A eClinicalWorks Case Study
Southeast Alabama Rural Health Associates (SARHA), a Federally Qualified Health Center with 10 rural locations, was struggling with rising patient volume, inefficient EHR workflows, and provider burnout as clinicians spent excessive time on documentation and remained tethered to laptops even outside clinic hours. The practice needed a way to manage provider time better, improve response times, and restore work/life balance.
In April 2019 SARHA adopted eClinicalWorks Scribe, enabling smartphone-based dictation of Progress Notes. Within weeks providers were making better eye contact, completing notes faster, responding to labs and messages more quickly, and seeing more patients—boosting revenue, improving documentation continuity, and noticeably reducing physician burnout and after-hours work.
