Two busy pediatric practices in the Washington, D.C. suburbs—Town Pediatrics and Children First Pediatrics—were hampered by delayed, hard-to-find, and paper-based hospital and specialist reports. Reliance on faxes, missing records, and fragmented information made it difficult to prepare for visits, avoid duplicate testing, and deliver timely, coordinated care.
