The Children’s Clinic of Jonesboro, a long-established pediatric practice handling roughly 40,000 visits a year, partnered with eClinicalWorks to address low adoption of its Patient Portal and the healow app. Clinic staff identified key barriers—parents reluctant to share emails, frequent password/login problems, low awareness of the app, and lack of marketing—so the practice set goals to optimize the portal, educate staff and families, and boost patient engagement and efficiency.

eClinicalWorks’ PRM team conducted workflow reviews and delivered tailored staff training, in‑office patient assistance, customized marketing (print, website, Facebook), kiosk setup, and conversion of paper forms to electronic questionnaires. Within eight weeks healow users grew from 262 to 639, portal requests rose from 413 to 839, unique lab views increased from 4 to 210, and secure messages climbed from 2 to 175—leading to fewer calls, streamlined processes, and higher patient satisfaction.
